How to Use Your Body to Hit it Further
One of the reasons why I was looking for a way to hit the ball longer was because for some reason, I was losing distance with my irons. I began noticing that no matter what iron I was hitting with, I was not getting the intended distance. I was coming up short every time I used an iron. Instead of hitting the green on a par 3, I was always short. It was frustrating and the strokes began to add up. I was playing par 3's like par 4's. Pathetic. If you are in same boat, read on. This tip actually works and it has given me a fighting chance to hit better iron shots.
Have you noticed everyone on the range is trying to beat the crap out of a golf ball? We all want more distance and so we are trying everything to hit the ball longer these days.
One thing I have tried doing is to follow a little tip I have learned about warming up. After my regiment of stretching, I pretend I'm standing in a barrel and begin to flip my wrists back and forth without any involvement of my shoulders or hips. The result is amazing. If you want to hit the ball more effortlessly and further, you have to try this out.
